Proposed Bottle Bill Rule Changes
The Agency of Natural Resources is in the early stages of developing changes to the bottle bill rule. Prior to initiating the formal rulemaking process they wanted to allow you an opportunity to review the draft and make comments. The ANR will consider comments on this rule and the results of a comingling survey, to be provided to redemption centers and retailers soon, in developing a rule that is then placed in the formal rulemaking process. The deadline for pre-rule comment is August 21, 2009. Please send comments on this proposal to Cathy Stacy at: cathy.stacy@state.vt.us or at 103 S. Main St. 1 South, Waterbury VT 05671. There will be other opportunities to comment in the formal rulemaking process, however, they wanted to receive feedback on these rules early from you.
