Government Relations

Advocacy on behalf of the Vermont food industry and members of the Vermont Grocers' Association is an important component of the organization. The association's primary spokesperson and lead advocate is VGA president, Jim Harrison. William Shouldice & Associates, a Montpelier based public relations and government advocacy firm, assist VGA at the Vermont State House and with regulatory agencies.

The association's legislative committee is chaired by Gail Horne of Keelers Bay Variety in South Hero, VT. Members may sign up to receive a legislative email report, which is distributed weekly during the Vermont legislative session.
